NLO CRYSTALS
Lithium borate(LBO)
Lithium borate (LBO) is a kind of nonlinear laser crystal with excellent performance, which belongs to the orthogonal crystal system mm2 lattice. It consists of a continuous b3o7 grid and lithium ions in the voids. The close packed b3o7 clusters make LBO crystal almost free ot any impurities. Ketong optoelectronics uses the improved molten salt method to grow LBO crystal, which has excellent quality and can be used in many fields.
CASTON'S LBO featured:
● High light transmittance, ranging from 160nm to 2600nm (frequency doubling range:550nm to 2600nm)
●The wavelength range of noncritical phase matching of class I and class ll crystals is wide
● Relatively large effective octave coefficient (about three times of KDP)
● High damage threshold (18.9gw/cm2 at 1054nm 1.3ns laser)
● Wide receiving angle, small walking distance
● High crystal quality(homogeneity ^n =10-6/cm) few impurities
CASTON'S LBO applied to:
● SHG
High energy Nd: YAG and Nd: YLF lasers for military and scientific purposes
Ruby, Ti: Sappire and Cr: LiSAF laser
Nd: YAG laser for medical and industrial use
● THG
Nd: YAG and Nd: YLF laser
Optical parametric amplifier (OPA) and optical parametric oscillator (OPO)
Second and third harmonic generation of high power 1340nm Nd: YAP laser
